Melissa came to me after she had been talking to her sister whom I had made a necklace for.
She wanted a very personal ring to be made consisting of her children's birth stones.
​
Melissa had 'done her homework' and at our meeting came prepared with some ideas of the kinds of rings she liked.
After our meeting I was able to start sketch several rings and incorporating stones for Melissa's ring design.

Melissa was able to choose all of her stones for her perfectly personal birthstone stacking ring. I was able to show different colours and sizes and place them onto of the band so Melissa could get a really good idea of proportion.

By selecting stones of different sizes Melissa was able to see how her ring would balance and the arrangement the stones could be worn in. The method is a little old school but it really works!
Melissa's stunning stacking ring was hand made in platinum.
The tree separate bands are all different widths. This adds variation but also makes these three rings very versatile when choosing which order to stack them in.
The beautiful cup rub settings make this ring to be worn every day as there are no claws to catch on clothes and the edges of the stones can't get knocked and chipped.

This ring was made all the more special by the whole journey we went on to get it. From meeting you to discuss initial ideas, seeing your sketches, choosing the stones and the final "reveal". An exciting process and a beautiful result!
